SOFTWARE REPACKAGING TOOL - CONVERT EXE TO MSI PACKAGE USING SNAPSHOT ENGINE
The Repackage And Deployment
is a fullt featured and all-in-one network admin tool. It comes with a range of features for
remote software installation and uninstallation management, and a full featured software repackaging engine that can convert
any existing software (setup) installations into a msi package. The product is based on so called "Projects" that is natively for
the Repackage and Deployment tool and can be used to remote deploy or uninstall any software in your enterprise network.
To create a project you use the snapshot module that is able to capture all activities in the file and registry system during a
software installation using the known (before and after) technology, and snapshot results are then been saved as a project that
contains required info to either install or uninstall the specific monitored application across your network computers in a silent
mode operation and without any end user interuption.
All created and saved projects can be converted as well into a fully compatible msi package for installation or uninstallation
and supports the latest Windows installer msi technology standards. Created MSI packages can easily be deployed remotely
using services like SSCM, GPO (group policy), and any other third party tools that supports remote deployments of msi files.
Pros: The software repackaging engine comes with a protection module to protect most important Windows components to be
captured during a software installation and be included into project source. The repackaging module also handles easy
to complex application installations that requires services or drivers installation.
